Breiddens

The Breiddens are on the very edge of Shropshire.  They stand proud of the surrounding landscape which to the North is very flat and forms water meadows.

The hills are made of hard igneous rock. This rock has been quarried extensively for roadstone.

At the base of the Breiddens is the confluence of two main rivers, the Vyrnwy and the Severn.
