Of the libraries and resource centres that have significant holdings of maps and publications concerning Shropshire geology, some are only accessible to members of the society that manages the library, others require prior appointment. It is therefore advisable before travelling to check the access arrangements (including whether a fee will be payable), hours of opening, and any conditions such as availability of photocopying or photographing facilities.
